A teaser trailer for The Super Mario Bros. movie has been released, and it’s looking pretty good.
Everyone’s favorite Italian plumber stars in a new movie with a new voice provided by Chris Pratt. Lots of people commented on that fact, and most of them were negative about it. Honestly though, I don’t think he’s that bad. However, compared to the voice work of Jack Black as Bowser and Keegan-Michael Key, who plays Toad, it may be less theatrical and transformative, but that’s a high bar already. Watch the trailer and you’ll get what I mean.
On a side note, does this count as an isekai story?
The Super Mario Bros. movie will premiere in theaters on April 7th.
