First look at NieR Automata anime
The NieR:Automata game made such an impact on popular culture that it is a wonder it has taken so long to turn this into an anime. We finally get a peek at it after months of silence!
The announcement video includes two teasers showing the main characters in anime form. It also includes an interview with the voice actors as well as mystery man Yoko Taro. Taro goes on to say that the ver1.1a tag in the title is there to indicate that the story will differ from the video game. The reason was because the story in the video game was designed for the game itself and they felt that trying to force it into anime form would not work well.
The anime is set to start airing January 2023.
