Do you have what it takes to survive the Squid Game?

You’ve seen the K-drama series. You’ve probably thought of how you would tackle the challenges if you were in the players’ shoes or how you would love to have a chance to win that much money. Well, here’s your chance!

If you haven’t heard, Netflix has been in the process of creating a real-life version of the Squid Game. Now they’ve reached the final casting call stage for the first season’s contestants. In total, 456 players will be picked from all over the world to partake in the show for the chance to win $4.56 million dollars (USD, we’re assuming).

According to the site for the series, the casting is open to contestants worldwide (US, UK, and Global). It does specify that they are only looking for English-speaking contestants for the first season, but if you’re not in the US or the usual, typical countries that studios scout for these sort of shows, then you still have a shot!

And don’t worry, no one is going to die – at least, that’s the plan. The sign-up page specifically points out that “win or lose, all players will leave unscathed. But if you win, you win big!”

One piece of advice based on what I’ve seen on the sign-up forms is to have a passport ready and updated, even if you’re in the US or UK. It seems that they might be shooting in different countries or locations, possibly mimicking the unknown aspect of the location like the original Squid Game.
