Trailer for the second part of the Netflix anime Bastard!!
The Netflix remake of the classic anime, Bastard!!, based on the manga of the same name, gets a trailer for the second part of the first season.
The first part of the first season debuted on Netflix this past summer with a fairly high-level production overall. The animation was great with tasteful use of CG in most places. But the voice acting of the main character, Dark Schneider, was beyond perfection.
The series seems to revel in the way it calls back to the dark fantasy, heavy metal anime feel of the original classic. Sometimes that does mean it has elements that has not aged as well, but it is almost like it feels that it knows that and does not apologize for it. Does this make it more of a faithful remake? I’m not sure. However, the romp has been entertaining so far with unexpected depth in the characters for something that may seem so irreverent.
